Weekly Leaderboard
The schedule for the Spring Championship of Online Poker and the prizes up for grabs in the leaderboard competition have just been confirmed by PokerStars.
Running from Sunday through Saturday each week, the weekly leaderboard awards the winner a shot at a Team PokerStars Pro with $1,000 on the line. The winner gets to pick the game in a heads-up Sit & Go format. If the Team PokerStars pro wins, the money is carried forward to the following week and another $1,000 is added.
The weekly leaderboard takes your 10 best results for the week in calculating your leaderboard points. There is no limit to the amount of MTTs you can play, so grind away.
Monthly Leaderboard
The monthly leaderboard runs from the 1st day of the month through the last day. The top 1,000 players on the leaderboard will share more than $40,000 in PokerStars Tournament Dollars, which can be used for any Sit & Go or MTT entry. Prize breakdown for the top 1,000 is as follows.
The monthly leaderboard takes your top 20 results for the month. There is no limit as to the number of tournaments you are allowed to play.
Yearly Leaderboard
The yearly leaderboard runs for an entire calendar year. The top 10 players on the leaderboard will share more than $200,000 in PokerStars Passports. The passports can be used for entry into any PokerStars sponsored live tournament series. Passports can also be used for entry into online tournament series like WCOOP and SCOOP.
The yearly leaderboard takes your top 100 results from the year. There is no limit as to the number of tournaments you can play.
Calculating Leaderboard Points
Leaderboard points are earned based on the buy-in, number of players, and place finished. People who are mathematically gifted can geek out at the formula used to determine points earned.
Points = 10 * [sqrt(n)/sqrt(k)] * [1+log(b+0.25)]
